The client required the ground preparation and tarmac surfacing for a new Multi-Use Games Area Installation in Chesterfield.
Job Description
The ground preparation for the area was excavation to reduce levels and compact the bottom of the excavations and to cut-fill and dispose of remainder of the excavated material off site at a licenced tip. We then installed pcc edgings around the permitter and laid geotextile membrane to the while area and imported MOT Type 1 to make-up levels at 150mm thick. The specification of tarmac was 20mm Open Texture Base Course and 6mm Courtmaster, which was laid by our surfacing division.
