About the Role

Join MAC Groundwork Contractors, a leading civil engineering contractor, on a high-profile highways project.

We are looking for a Civils and Groundworks Site Supervisor to lead and manage a team of operatives on all aspects of groundwork and civils activities. This role is based from our Head Office in Chartley Staffordshire, with travel to sites across the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead operatives on site.
• Co-ordinate tasks including drainage, kerbing, ducting, concrete and tarmac works.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
• Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and enforce health and safety protocols.
• Liaise with site managers, engineers and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and report to the contracts manager.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Requirements

• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• CSCS Black/Gold card (Foreman/Supervisor level).
• Street Works qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proven experience as a working foreman on civils/groundworks projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of site health and safety procedure.

Desirable Skills

• Experience on infrastructure, highways or large-scale civils projects.
• Confident reading site drawings and setting out works.
• Ability to manage materials and resources efficiently.
